On tap @ In De wildeman. Clear deep red-brown color. Dense off-white head. Aroma’s: not much actually, a bit of wood, cork. Flavor is almost neutral, a bit roasted, lightly sweet. Light bodied. Caramel in the finish. Perhaps this is good right at the source, but this was quite disappointing.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 FatPhil (7511) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 17, 2013
330ml bottle (Alko Arkadia, Helsinki)
Initially a very bready aroma, plenty of grains. As it warms, it becomes sweeter and softer. Fairly watery palate, I nearly excused it for being 4.7% supermarket strength until I realised I got it in Alko. Carbonation pleasant, and stops you from noticing any real sweetness in the palate. Taste is mostly the rustic (I had originally written ’earthy’, but it’s not quite earthy) bready grains, just a touch of fat and a hint of hazelnuttiness. Finish fades quite quickly, leaves you with just a shadow of the taste. An adequate beer, but not full enough for me.
