SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jan 21, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Almost black in color. Ecru colored head which is fluffy and solid. The aroma is something of fruity plums and raisins. The flavor provides a sweet syrupy molasses and a Belgian ale yeast tartness combined. The brewer, Adam Daake, uses copious amounts of brown sugar in this. He pitches the White Labs Belgian yeast. This gives it that wonderful medicinal off-flavor distinctive of this yeast. I liked the thick complex palate to this. Yum.
