Copper brown color, small white head. Fresh cut grass aroma. Hayish hops dominate malty body. Quite hayish for being an oktoberfestbier. Different. Jukkabro (2463), Tampere, Finland Oct 7, 2007 Golden colored, medium sized white head. Sweetness dominates this aroma with convenient hops. Weird for Plevna that this brew doesn’t have this Plevna-flowery character in it, sitll some hops can be found. Medium bodied. Flavor is also sweet with some glue tone, hops make this somehow bitter. Lemon and fruits in aftertaste, still this glue distracts too much here. FatPhil (2408), Espoo, Finland Oct 7, 2007 Draught (Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Plevna days)
Light amber, thin, self-supporting head. Perfumed soap starts the aroma, some candifloss too. As it warms, the hops come through quite strongly. Taste is quite full -bodied malty, and with a crisp hoppiness. Rich marzen feel. Good lager - shames many German ones. sayravai (3224), Helsinki, Finland Oct 4, 2007 (Draught@Pikkulintu) Clear golden with a small, lasting head. Nicely aromatic, surprisingly lemony and fresh aroma with a hint of metal. In the flavor, there’s some more metal, but the lemony hops are still there, along with sweetish, clean and lightly buttery malt profile. Almost medium-bodied, quite refreshing palate with balanced carbonation. A clean, balanced, citrus-aromatic and easily drinkable oktoberfest. Very nice for the style. oh6gdx (6459), Vaasa, Finland Oct 25, 2006 Draught. Amberi/copper coloured with some weird colour disturbing abit, thick mediumsized head. Flowery hops in aroma with also malts and grassyness coming in very well. Flavour is mainly malty, but still the flowery hops shows itself. The finish almost goes caramellish malts (atleast a lot towards sweetness). The grassyness and sweetness stays long in the aftertaste and mixes quite well. Wellbalanced brew by Plevna (Koskipanimo). They have done a good job with their "news" the last year.
