{thoughts} Boldly-flavored, quite drinkable dry stout with a clever fruity tanginess.

{elements} Deep black hue; dense, tan cream. Roasty, chocolate aroma with licorice and dark rye bread notes. Dry, tangy acidity, firm bitterness; immediate chocolate flavor, lightly salty, roasted chicory in the finish; blackberries punch through with some warmth. Silky texture, moderate carbonation, medium-light body. 50 cl draft @ Plevna.

Draught @ Oluthuone Panimomestari. Rated on 29.01.2011
Aroma is very light with some roasted notes. Flavour is rather dry and nice with coffee and some dark chocolate. Dry finish with roasted malt. A bit watery but rather nice stuff for this ABV.

mile (3127) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 15, 2011
Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Very dark brown - almost black, short and fully diminishing dark brown head. Moderate malty and lightly sweetish aroma, roasted malt and coffee, some licorice and sourness. Body is medium, malty and dry, roastiness and coffee, some licorice and sourness. Finish is average, malty and dry, roasted malt and coffee, sourness. Sourish stout with coffee - OK but quite one-dimensional.

Black body, tan head. Aroma of dry acidic malt, hops, dark fruits and clean roastiness. Flavour has dry charcoal, coffee, but feels quite thin. Papery. Lots of acid.

Opaque black color, firm creamy chocolate brown head. Chocolaty, a bit tobacco ashy aroma. Medium-bodied. Coffeish, cocoa powder flavor, a bit odd twisted vegetably/bean flavors. I prefer normal Plevna’s stout. (6/4/6/3/12 3.1)
Draught@Maltainen Riekko as "Riekon Samu’s Stout" claiming 5.5%
Opaque black color, steady creamy brown head. Milky, roastedm chocolaty aroma with hints of licorice and tobacco. Light to medium bodied. Flavor is milky, roasted malty, slightly burned. Quite Guinness-like brew with a bit more body than in the original one. "Easy to drink", even a bit too empty finish. (7/4/7/2/11 3.1)

Black colored, huge beige head. Rich roasted aroma with hopped touch, cream and chocolate slightly here as well, good aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is also dominated by coffee roastiness, some caramelly sweetness here too, still more on dry side.
