Draught@Pikkulintu. Oily black with a rich creamy head. Smells of milkchocolate, sugar and bitter hops. Taste of berries, chocolate, licorice. Smooth tasting imperial stout without being thick. Nice bitterness at the end!

tlind2 (931) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 12, 2008
Draught @ Helsinki Beer Festival 2008. A dark, thick-looking beer, with a tightly-packed, creamy head. The aroma is astounding, piney american hops and some sweetness. The taste starts with roasted coffee and finishes up bitter. Full body, great balance. A fantastic beer!

Comments: Flat cask serving. Nice fruitiness, but nothing really extraordinary in this very, very sweet condition.

Cask at GBBF 2007. Black colour with a weak head. Nice aroma of chocolate, roastedness and citrus from the hops. Really tasty flavour of roastedenss, citrus and hints of sourness. Ends up tasty and with a warm feeling from the alcohol.

JorisPPattyn (7311) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 10, 2007
Draught Dark orange-brown head; pitch-black beer. Oily hops, USA-like, a bit of hopscake and some... frying oil? Sweet, with a bitter, inky lining, ending in a hops onslaught. Leafy hops, and the alcohol remains hidden. Very oily, thick MF, chewy. Aftertaste fully hops bitter. Quite good, but I’d call it a Royal, ’stead of Imperial Porter...

Draught @ Bruxellensis. Roast, coffee and blackcurrant in the aroma. Sweetish, malty flavor with loads of blackcurrant and red berries. Long oily hopbitter aftertaste.

Draught at Bruxellensis. Black with a big-laced, non-lasting brown head like cola. Espresso and chocolate aroma. Tastes a touch sweet and mildly bitter like dark chocolate, well-balanced. Dryish finish and malty-bitter aftertaste. Big and tasty.

Cask @ GBBF 2007, London. Dark black color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is roasted, dark chocolate, strong coffee, licorice. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is full, texture is creamy, carbonation is flat.

Cask-GBBF. Black with a small brown head. Grassy and citrus hop aroma, lightly roast malt and caramel/toffee. Sweet with a good deal of hop flavour, some alcohol and roast bitterness in the finish. But the sweetness is a bit too much for my taste
