3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: NOV 14, 2013 The pitch black body is covered by a thin layer of brown foam. Nose starts off with piney and fruity notes and upon warming up becomes abundant with notes of coffee, chokolate, malts and bisquits. Taste is bold, starting with a thick malty sweetness followed by a bitter long-lasting finish. The aftertaste stays on the palate for a long time. Carbonation feels quite mild but there is a lot of bubbles going around. The taste is a bit coarse and would probably become nicer with a bit of aging.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pitch black with a long lasting, creamy head. Leaves a nice lacing. Aromas of chocolate, fruity hops, roasted malts, liquorice, hint of alcohol. Similar taste, liquorice, leather, roasted malts. Quite complex but oh so good. Medium full mouthfeel, balanced carbonation. Bitterness kicks in quite heavily afterwards. This is really good stuff :)

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2013 Really dark coloured beer with little brown head. Aroma has fruits, sweet chocolate, dark bread and roasted malts. Taste has roasted malts, chocolate, licorice and dark bread. There’s a long bitter finish and the mouthfeel is soft oily and thick. The amount of hops makes it feel almost like a black IPA. It sure is the best beer from Finland.

On tap at Pikkulintu. Pours black with a small fast vanishing head. Scent is pretty nice roasted. Taste is really good refreshing and very easy drinkable. Notes of chocolate, roasted malts, general roasted, some liquorice. Great beer with good balance. The alcohol is very well hidden. Goes down pretty fast when thirsty.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2013 Really dark black beer with rich dark brown head and lacing. Taste is like an IPA, with grapefruit, tropical fruits, herbs with roasted malts staying in the background. Taste starts with sweet chocolate and roasted malts, then its sweet and fruity which turns into grape and citrus fruits and bitter hops. Imperial Stout meets Black-IPA. Oily body and low carbonation, a very hoppy stout.
