A bit IPA like aroma with slight roastiness of coffee. Pitch black and thin mocha head. Full body. Very thick. Bitterness isn’t over powering but just right. Very balanced flavors of bitterness and roasted coffee and sweetness. An excellent beer!

Very bitter pitch black, brown head that leaves lace. Quite full mouthfeel, oily after. Bitter fresh eukalyptus afrer taste. A lot of fresh delicious hops especially in the aroma and much of it in the taste too.

Bottle: Thanx to Mr.Ingo! Black colour, brown head. Aroma is dominated of Portviny; Rasins, coffee, dark choclate, fruits, and caramelly. Flavor was sweet creamy mouthfeeling, caramelly, vanilla, coffee, dark choclate and lots of raisins. Nice complexity of this IMP Stout. Medium to full body and a liong dry fruity finish. Well done

Draught @ Plevna. Pours beautiful opaque with a decent espresso head that stays. Aroma is really hoppy with juniper, dark fruits, vanilla and mild roasty malt. Quite bitter taste is really tarry with also some notes of licorice, dark fruits and roasted malt. Full bodied, smooth mouthfeel and low carbonation. Long bitter finish. A great imperial stout and exceptionally bitter even for its type.

Draught at Plevna in Tampere, Feb 2012. Dark brown, almost black with brown head. Smoke and chocolate are present in the aroma with a hint of caramel or cola. Goes down smoothly, almost too easy and would probably do well from racking. Cocoa and a light bitterness lingers.

Draught @ the brewpub
Aroma is rather hoppy with somewhat ripe fruits. Also hints of roasted malt and vanilla can be observed behind the hop wall. Flavour is hoppy with fruits and vanilla. Dry finish with roasted malt, coffee and some dark chocolate. Also Plevna house flavour is present. Becomes somewhat sticky towards the end of the glass due to the massive hop and malt amount. Rather hoppy for an Imperial stout, almost like a Black IPA. The best finnish beer I’ve had!

Almost black liquid with slightly brown head. Aroma has lost of maltiness and huge amount of piney hoppiness. It also has coffee and chocolate. It tastes like the attack of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. After that there’s still huge amount of that bitter piney taste and slight amount of citrus. Very full palate, slow beer. Siperia is one of the best beers from Finland, very nice even on style.
