Dark brown colour. Bitter hoppy and fruity aroma. Same with the flavour. Rye makes it milder in bitterness but also smoother. Enjoyable.

esox (1225) - Oulu, FINLAND - OCT 29, 2008
Draught @ OTTO fest. A bit cloudy copper to orange beer with creamy, medim-sized head. Hoppy aroma is fres, full of floral and fruity (orange peel, even black currant!) elements with some resin in the finish. Rich malty flavor with some roastdness of caramel malts. Overall quite bitter, especially in the long finish that has also fruits and sweetish caramel. Palate is medium bodied, smooth and sticky bitter in the finish.

Slightly hazy, reddish amber color with thick, creamy and lacy head. Aroma is very mush aromatic hoppy, sweetish caramely malty with a bit of black currant. Flavor is sweety caramely malty, with balancing and long lasting grassy hops. Black currant can be also found from the flavor. Palate is quite full-bodied, dry and low cabonated.

(From long backlog in my notebook. Tasted from tap in Kaisla on 2007-12-30.) Generally, I liked this beer. The hoppines of the beer was rather strong and balanced. The body was medium, The tase of rye was notable, too.
