Draught, Oluthuone Kaisla, Helsinki. Oily pitch- fully opaque with a slim cappuccino collar and lace frills. Neopolitan ice cream and blackcurrant aroma over coal and mocha. Deep with dusty, burnt cocoa bitterness, blackcurrant streaks, burnt wood. Grapefruit and burnt toast finish; long, ash-covered aftertaste. Too fizzy in the US style. Good layered bramble fruit dusted with drinking choc, nut husk, soap. Good, but not as good as the piles of greasy salmon toasties that fed us for 2 days afterwards.

Poured black in colour. Aroma is roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Flavour roasted coffee with hints of chocolate. Burnt flavour.

Draught. Enjoyable black stout. Nice aroma hops, fruity and slightly floral. Fresh malt character, smoothly roasted and slightly smoky barley. Overall maltiness is quite dry, but light yeastiness and the hops give fruitiness. Bitterish finish. Rich malt body, soft texture.

black body, small tan head. Nice roasted aroma, lots of hops. Flavor is slightly thinner than aroma. Great stout.

Draught@Villi Wäinö. Poured black color with a thin head. Aroma is roasted malt and strong coffee. Flavor is roasted malts, ash and dry hops. Finish is very dry. I could have taken this for an imperial stout.

Pours a black colour with a medium-sized frothy head. The aroma is dominated with dry hops, roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Medium sweet body with coffee and some hops too. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. Dry finish. Dry stout done right.

Clear dark black brown color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, burnt, caramel, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration, dusty, burnt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100701]

Dark brown almost black colour with small tan head. Dry but mild hops, paper, roasted malt and liquorice in aroma. Roasted dark malt, dry hops and coffee in flavour. Dry hoppy aftertaste.

Pours black with medium-sized tan head; aroma of roasted malt and hops, some sweet notes; medium body, some carbonation; roasted and bitter flavor, dry over sweet. Not very interesting, actually, but then again not unpleasant either.

Draught @ Pikkulintu. A thin tan head that deteriorates quite quickly. Aroma is dominated by roasted malt. A dry, roasted taste with bitterness from hops. A relatively fine stout, even if it might not be one of the very best.
