Dark golden/amber colored pour. Small layer of bubbles adorn the edge of the glass, but no lacing. Malty, sour, funky, earthy aroma. Sour taste with a vegetal presence. Acetic. Sweet and sour. Not sure if this was intended or not. But it sure is not a Belgian Ale. I would say that something got into this one and made it a sour beer. So rating to style this one is way off, but it is a good beer nonetheless. So I’ll rate to how good it actually is. If I rated to style it would be under a 1.5.

Dark blond, almost amber colour. Has a strong, yeasty, musty aroma. Flavour is a bit acidic and sour but has a sweet candy edge. Strong carbonation in the mouth. Thin, watery texture.

33cl from beer planet. Pours bright clear with large head that has excellent retention. Right away, I get a good blast of brett, followed by tropical lemon notes, light yeast esters, dry hay, and some metallic. Tart lemony brett, thin body, some esters toward the end...but unfortunately the metallic notes ruin it.

20/06/2011 33cl bottle @ home - bottled 06/2008 (2011-269)

Clear orange beer, very creamy white head, stable and a bit adhesive. Aroma: alcohol, citrus, oranges, candi sugar. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: tart, somewhat fruity, green apples, little bitterness is detectable but very faint. Aftertaste: still pretty sour, some bitterness. Despite the fact the brewer clames this beer will be ok until at least 3 years after botteling, it is clearly not. Rerate? Maybe, but I’m not really waiting for that day to come.

Bottle conditioned, 330ml from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Orange gold with white head. Initially quite fruity and a touch spicy, plenty of competing flavours, but with a hint of a metallic note. The metallic note grows as the beer develops in the glass unfortunately, but there is a sense of spicy yeast remaining to keep interest. Reasonable.
