1.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle from Pochers off licence, Lincoln. Itís not often that I could pour a beer down the sink, but I nearly did this one. It was gassy and the head filled half my pint glass once poured. Once it settled it was a clear golden colour, but smelt terrible and tasted very acidy. I struggled to get it down Iím afriad. I bought two bottles but wonít be having the second.

Iíd need to try this again because the bottle I got up ended up incredibly flat and Iím sure itís not meant to be like that. It could have been the way it got jiggled in the car driving it home from the beer shop but itís not like itís the first time. I HOPE itís not usually that flat anyway.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask handpull, The Strugglerís Inn, Lincoln. Bronze with a slim cream lid. Diluted lychee and watermelon aroma with wine gum hints. Dull and slight with lemon and lime, honeyed wafer, oak dabs. Boring, but it was the last pint in the cask.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A Mes rate: cask handpull at GBBF.
Dirty yellow colour with an oily film topping. Full on diacetyl in the aroma that renders almost everything else that you could possibly pick out stone dead. Thankfully it is all but gone in the flavour turning over to some decent sweet bready malt and some faint grassy notes. Slight bitterness in the finish but it’s pretty dull over all.
