A hand-crafted 100% barley malt lager, Point Classic Amber features a combination of Cluster, Cascade, Hallertauer and Tettnanger hops for a balanced and distinctive flavor. These ingredients, combined with a longer brewing and aging process, give Point Classic Amber a superior flavor and rich, amber color.

Bottle from Waitrose in East Cowes. Pours out in a light amber colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of barley and light malt. Taste of old malt, light barley, mild hops, old bread and sour berries. Just a very unpleasant and untasty mixture. Unbalanced. Not that bad, but quite awful stuff.

Botle shared with McTapps. Highly drinkable piwo with a nice viena nose of nuts, caramel, bit of sugar and bread. Quaffy and mild with a bit of herbs in the aftertaste. Syrup finishing it off. Good and classic brew without being rocket science.

Drank from a twelve ounce bottle. I was excited to try this one from Stevens Point Brewery, wasn’t very good. All of their beers have well-balanced and had the proper care, this just wasn’t very good.

Nice cold, but I cant get over the hallertauer hops....makes me think this is a busch amber, if there is such a thing. Pretty light body too. Thanks Erin.

From the pour I got a clear reddish amber body with a small creamy off white head. This small head fades to a very thin layer of foam that disappears about half way down the glass. On the way it makes some slick lacing. The aroma light overall and has a thin maltiness with light hops and a slight metallic presence. The flavor matches the aroma with a light/thin body. A simple (but not off putting in any) mild maltiness gives way to a thin herbal hop fading finish. Its light on the palate add side down easily.

Not a bad drink, needs to be cold, had it from a bottle from B&M in the UK. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A mid amber coloured beer with a weak white head. A light aroma, piney hops and roasted malt. Dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off with a tart, piney and fruity hop flavour. Then a smooth slightly roasted, caramel malt flavour comes through that leaves a well-balanced finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
