3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Currently 79p a bottle at B&M bargains, which is where I bought four bottles. This rating is based on 2x355ml bottles poured into a "Bubba Gump" lager glass Definitely amber coloured, with a dense off-white head. Aroma is caramel and mildly acidic red fruit. Malt to the fore, with flavours of a good quality fruit and nut fudge, but not oversweet. The American hops provide a lovely floral astringency to balance the maltiness. Juicy mouth feel, long bittersweet finish. What a surprisingly nice beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Booths, Media City UK. Amber with a thin head. Quite sweet but very palatable. Has a bit of action in the palate and bridges the gap between ale and lager.

On tap at The Pearl (Muscatine). Brown/black with no head, literally nothing, couldn’t stir up a head. Aroma and flavor of dark sweet malts, light caramel and chocolate. Not much else going on. Pass.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Tesco. More of an ale than lager. Deep golden colour with honeyed aroma and a sweetish, well-rounded malty flavour. Pleasant but unspectacular.

Bottled 16/02/14. A copper coloured beer with a white bubbly head. A toasty lager. Interesting malts and reasonably well balanced hops. Edging towards sweetness. Has a chewy body but it’s totally decent.
