Dark red appearance, with a pleasent nose of sweet apples and malts with a light hop note as well. A regular, slightly pale and earthy flavor, with a good body. Can’t say much... a good summer beer for some porch-sittin’

DocLock (6800) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 30, 2006
Pours deep coppery with an attractive 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, brown sugar, slight hops, some honey, and some cabernet and almonds. Tastes caramel malty up front, not too sweet, with some nutty and vinous fruit notes and some backup hops. I’d call this one good but not great.

Ughsmash (6670) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 25, 2007
Bottled. Poured a clear lighter orange with a short fizzy cap of beige head. The aroma found caramel sweetness along with dried fruits.. rather weak. Flavor was rather bland with semi-sweet caramel and some lighter fruits at the base along with a mild earthy bitterness.. very faint hit of citrus on the tip of the tongue and in fleeting moments on the finish. Decent amount of carbonation and a dry feel to it. Rather blah, but certainly drinkable.
