Sampled at Food and Froth. A nice Vienna, which is not a flavor for everyone. A little stronger in flavor than most Ambers, with a nice nose and appearance. Pretty good.

Bottle from Artisan Tap, Bedford. Golden brown and clear as a bell, with massive carbonation creating only a thin white head. Gummy aroma reminiscent of tree sap and envelope glue. Sweet resinous taste with slight earthy hop in the finish. Iím quite find of this, especially considering it isnít one of my favourite styles.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear reddish amber color, with a medium sized white head. The aroma is slightly nutty with some sweet maple. This is a very average beer.

Bottle. [As Point Amber Lager] Pours amber with frothy, fully diminishing head. Floral hoppy aromas. A bit fruity and herbal. Watery. Mild. Not that much going on at all. What a shame. Some spiciness to it, a bit of hops and a dry finish. But not what I expected.

Bottle from Cellar Door, Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield. Pours amber-orange, low carbonation. Aroma of malts, caramel, sugars...Taste of sweet malts, then some wheatiness, honey...very drying, not great.

330ml bottle @ The Alb, Shrewsbury. The only vaguely-drinkable option in the place. Pours amber with bubbly white head. Old biscuit malts in the taste, with a tired sweetness and some herbal elements. A touch sticky,

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 1/29/2015. Pours fairly crystal clear deep copper/amber color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light earthy herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Nicely clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a nice Vienna lager style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
