2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap in Stevens Point. On a business trip out here, and I’ve gotta say, its a little scary how proud they are of this brewer. There are displays and ads everywhere, including a big display at the airport. The hotel where we stayed had a gift shop that sold almost exclusively Point Brewing merchandise. Anyway, the beer was OK. Drinkable, decent taste, but something was off about the palate.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma, muted, is a mix of toasted malt, and solvents. Flavor has the toasted malt come out and become the best part of this beer. Body is a little off, bit thin, slightly over carbonated. Still, not a bad brew.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Artisan Tap, Bedford. Golden brown and clear as a bell, with massive carbonation creating only a thin white head. Gummy aroma reminiscent of tree sap and envelope glue. Sweet resinous taste with slight earthy hop in the finish. I’m quite find of this, especially considering it isn’t one of my favourite styles.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. [As Point Amber Lager] Pours amber with frothy, fully diminishing head. Floral hoppy aromas. A bit fruity and herbal. Watery. Mild. Not that much going on at all. What a shame. Some spiciness to it, a bit of hops and a dry finish. But not what I expected.
