2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap in Stevens Point. On a business trip out here, and I’ve gotta say, its a little scary how proud they are of this brewer. There are displays and ads everywhere, including a big display at the airport. The hotel where we stayed had a gift shop that sold almost exclusively Point Brewing merchandise. Anyway, the beer was OK. Drinkable, decent taste, but something was off about the palate.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A mid amber coloured beer with a weak white head. A light aroma, piney hops and roasted malt. Dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off with a tart, piney and fruity hop flavour. Then a smooth slightly roasted, caramel malt flavour comes through that leaves a well-balanced finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Lebowskis.
Appearance - amber brown and pours a decent head.
Nose - toffee and a touch screen orange zest.
Taste - more of the same.
Palate - light to medium bodied, with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Slightly sweet maybe.
Overall - solid though not as fresh as I’d expect from US craft.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear dark orange, barely amber body. The fluffy off-white head settles down quickly, leaving some lacing on the glass. Nose is malty with some spicy notes on the side. Taste is quite malty at first but is then followed by a spicy bitterness and a dry finish with some metallic notes to it. Carbonation is medium and the mouthfeel is a bit watery. A decent beer with a fairly malty character which could be a little darker in color and smoother on the tongue.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear deep amber color with off-white head. Caramel malt, some toffee, and a bit of roast on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with some nice maltiness. A very good example of the style.

Bottle from B&M Stockton. Amber with a white head. Not a bad bit of flavour to this. Some sweetness, fruity malts and caramel. Not bad.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Currently 79p a bottle at B&M bargains, which is where I bought four bottles. This rating is based on 2x355ml bottles poured into a "Bubba Gump" lager glass Definitely amber coloured, with a dense off-white head. Aroma is caramel and mildly acidic red fruit. Malt to the fore, with flavours of a good quality fruit and nut fudge, but not oversweet. The American hops provide a lovely floral astringency to balance the maltiness. Juicy mouth feel, long bittersweet finish. What a surprisingly nice beer.
