WesKBob (170), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA Aug 2, 2008 Pours a clear golden color. Moderate white pillowy head with decent retention. Aroma is Belgian yeast and coriander. Flavor is sweet, with fruit, yeast and just a bit of spice. Dry, fizzy finish. A bit too sweet and fizzy for the style, but certainly not a bad beer. Very drinkable on a hot day.
pumpmaster (308), Florida, USA Oct 22, 2008 Tap at Giordano’s Restaurant & Pizza in Chicago, IL by Midway Airport. Not a bad white. troyc (1005), Lubbock, Texas, USA Oct 3, 2008 (Bottle & Tap) Pours a yellow color with a fizzy white head and light haze. Aroma of light spice and some wet grain. Taste is the same, with muted spice and sweet malts. Watery palate and below desired mouthfeel. I tried this on tap and in the bottle, and it tasted virtually the same. A so-so beer, but not that great of a Wit. JorisPPattyn (4637), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 1, 2008 Thick, fine & dense white head, fed by very lively carbonated yellow-greenish beer. Discreet sweetish, grainy, and slightly fruity nose. Coriander-ish, but fast reverting to dull-sweetish taste. Finish is slightly sourish, wheat & citrus. Light MF, wheatslickness, rather refreshing. Unoffensive & unremarkable. Thanks, DaveDave! TomDecapolis (2544), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 27, 2008 Thanks to hopdog for the bottle. Pours a cloudy golden with a medium creamy/bubbly white head that left spotty lacing. Aroma of Wit yeast esters, lemon, orange, corriander and wheat along with some floral notes. Flavor of lightly tart wheat, lemon, light orange, corriander and bready. Crisp, overall it’s dry with a touch of sweetness and some tart notes. Bockyhorsey (2056), Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 27, 2008 12oz bottle from Mother in Law. Coriander and lemon aroma on the nose. Hazy yellow body with creamy white head and leaves good lacing on the glass. Flavor had a good dose of bitterness and that took away any real fruity aspects to find in a beer. Zesty soap body texture. Alricght if drinking a beer and watching a ballgame.
