Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear, dark orange with a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruits with something a bit pissy in there. Taste is similar, lightly bitter. Light bodied with a thin and slick texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Meh, good but not great.

Bottle. Golden amber pour, very little head, tons of sediment that just hangs there. Aroma has a bunch of caramel malt with some juicy citrus and light pine. Taste is a little hoppier than the aroma but it’s still very malty for an ipa. Caramel, pine, citrus, and wet grass. Medium body. Decent but almost not even an IPA.

Weak but pleasant aroma; some caramel malt and hop resin. Excellent finger-length, fluffy head with amazing retention and great lacing - 5/5 on appearance! Flavor: good caramel malt and hop balance. Resin in the finish. Palate slightly watery. Slightly sweet. This is more like an English IPA or even an ESB than a standard American IPA, which means it is naturally not that highly-rated here, but I will take this over an over-the-top, undrinkable pine bomb any day. I also like it more than any other Point offering I’ve had so far; I came into this with not very high expectations, but this is a nice, pleasant, milder IPA that’s very easy to drink. Recommended if you’re like me and enjoy good malt/hop balances in your pale ales.

On tap @ Shamrocks. Served a dark amber color with a small head and no real lacing. Aroma of mild citrus, grain and a bit of malt sweetness. Taste is fairly bland with a bit of citrus and malt sweetness. Has a slight bitterness and a clean finish. fairly light body, smooth with no distinct feel. Non-offensive but comes up a bit short for an IPA.

Tasted at Stanley’s Beer and Bacon Fest - May 17th, 2014 during Art-A-Whirl in Northeast. Notes were a bit light.

Slightly hazy orangeish copper, smells of bitter hops, slightly vegital/astringent. Taste is exactly the same, bitter and too malty. For 7$ whatever, but aside from ticking I’d rather pay an extra couple of bucks. Ok budget buy, otherwise sucks.

A friends’ uncle once astutely observed: "They got women up there. They can keep ’em." Indeed this beer is bitter....just like your ex. An IPA is supposed to be bitter. It’s true. And this delivers the goods....or not. If you want taste, quality & sophistication stick with the Blatz. This stuff not so much.

4/29/2014. 12 oz. bottle. Amber color with a white head. Faint hoppy aromas with caramel, pine and light fruit. A bit light on the hops with caramel leading the way.

From bottle. Dark gold, two fingers of white head. Active with lots of pulp. Nose is maltier than expected. Slight body but not as hoppy as other session ipas. Finish was mildly skunky. Drinkable, but not much going on here.

Bottle via trade. Nose is light melon with some pineapple there is a slight catty or pissy character I can’t say is all well done. Minimal head. Fairly clear copper color. Initial taste is mostly bland sweet malt. The hops come through about mid palate nearly identical to the aroma but in flavor. Still a very unpleasant character to it. I think it actually a vegetal character now that it warms up. Not pleasant.
