COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Point Cascade Pale Ale is handcrafted combining special top-fermenting yeast and a dry hopping process to create this truly classic American Pale Ale. The intriguing character is derived from generous quantities of the choicest Yakima Valley Cascade hops and the finest crystal, 2 row pale, and Munich malts. The result is a delicious American Pale Ale with a signature fragrant hop bouquet and soft malt palate.

This has been my "budget" beer of choice for a while now. Widely available locally in WI. The aroma has a hint of sweetness. The color is a rich, slightly cloudy gold. The taste is bright and bittersweet. I really enjoy the lingering hoppy aftertaste. Good beer.

12 oz bottle for 25 cents from Hy Vee Wine & Spirits in downtown Muscatine. Dark orange and clear appearance with a small off-white head. Aroma of grass, pine, light soap, herbal hops, toasted grains and floral notes. Similar flavor, adding some citrus zest and a mild to moderate spicy hop bitterness. Average body with a light dry finish. Decent pale ale overall.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 2/18/2015. Pours slightly hazy golden straw color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, cracker, bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, cracker, bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, pineapple, pine, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish fora good bit. Damn nice robustness and complexity of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours a golden-orange with a white head. Mild aroma of hops, citrus and grassy with caramel malt and bread. Tastes of citrus hops, fruit, caramel malt and toast-- possibly a bit watery though. Thin to average bodied.

Bottle at the Retreat, Reading. A rather lifeless pale amber colour with a moderate white head. Very sweet up front, then pine, diacetyl, ginger and plastic come through. Mild dusty bitterness at the end. Strange in a disturbing rathet than interesting way. It was drinkable, but I can’t honestly say that I enjoyed it.

Caramel, candied malt smell with subtle hop aromas. Cascade is a beautiful hop - Merica! Bottle is at the end of its shelf life but the taste is still pretty floral with a citrus hit - nice finish with the malt. A fresh six pack would be a fantastic way to intrigue a curious drinker eager to try dem hoppy beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
