Goodgrief (1020), Middletown, Delaware, USA Apr 14, 2008 Beer pours copper orange color with okay head. Weak aroma of caramel malt. Caramel malt dominated the flavor, but very mild and subdued. Mild and subdued hopping in this as well. As it warmed, it got worse, with wet cardboard like flavors emerging to the point that I poured the final third because my stomach was starting to feel ill. Beers like this are a total waste of time.
Soonah (491), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Aug 21, 2008 Poured clear and a slightly darker than usual copper color with a white to off-white head. Minimal lacing. Citrus on the initial aroma with some light sweet malts and then some pine/floral hops. The flavor was more of the same. Pine and floral flavors eventually trample over everything else. The mouthfeel was thin and the finish was fine. OK. Darkover (1201), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 15, 2008 Updated: Aug 16, 2008Clear golden color with a small beige head. Aroma of mild hops and some caramel. Flavor of mild citrus hops, and caramel malts. Ok. EithCubes (1804), Indiana, USA Aug 5, 2008 Bottle. Sweet fruity aroma with some hard bready resin. Bitter, sticky hops with a little stale air. Dirty orange pour with a cream colored head. Taste is very bitter, very hard bitterness, with no fruitiness to improve upon the blandness. Hint of pine way in the back but still under the grain. Touch of caramel in the very crisp, watery body. Pass. SpringsLicker (1817), Tennessee, USA Jul 19, 2008 Thanks to buckybeer for this one!
Starts with a clear dark orange body that throws up a sticky white head.
Malt and citrus aroma in a nice balance.
Slight bitterness that moves into a nice soft dryness as it approaches the finish.
Not a bad PA afireinside96 (425), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 18, 2008 Light caramel compliments the floral hops. Bland and a bit boring. Nothing screams quality like a twist top bottle.
