COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Point Cascade Pale Ale is handcrafted combining special top-fermenting yeast and a dry hopping process to create this truly classic American Pale Ale. The intriguing character is derived from generous quantities of the choicest Yakima Valley Cascade hops and the finest crystal, 2 row pale, and Munich malts. The result is a delicious American Pale Ale with a signature fragrant hop bouquet and soft malt palate.

Bottle at The Escort Arms, Watford on 31 August. Poured a hazy, light golden colour, with a thin, dense white head. Aroma of dusty grain, light US hops and tropical fruit. Some citrus hop in the flavour, with peaches and biscuity malt. Finish was toffee, herbal notes and straw.

12oz bottle (retrieved from 08/2013 Midwest jpg backlog, bought in Marquette/MI). Clean, near-crisp, dry caramalt forward, sprinkled with an obvious, gentle helping of Cascade on pillowy smooth water texture. Classic, watery/quenching in high UP heat, forgettable - although it reminded me of the Adirondack beers of upstate NY in both label design and unpresuming sessionability.

BlackHaddock (3779) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUL 24, 2014
UK labelled 355ml bottle from a cut-price supermarket chain (B&M Bargains): poured into a Batemans badged half-pint sleeve on 24th July 2014. Nice hoppy nose, floral and mildly citrus in nature. Light amber body with a non-staying head head. The taste is more malty than the aroma suggests and is initially semi-sweet, however the hops kick in mid-taste and the finish is drying and leaning towards bitter. Nice, easy drinking beer, cheap too.

Bottled 08/07/14. A bronze/orange coloured beer with no head. A reasonable hoppy ale. Not obviously cascade but definite citrus nd maybe a little peach. A nice enough body. It’s OK.
