JohnnyOS (610), Golden, Wisconsin, USA Dec 28, 2007 Same old Point for me... again it tastes like Point Special Lager, but with random spices thrown in... not impressed. KingpinIPA (813), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Dec 15, 2007 Copper color. Smell of roasted malt, leaves, spice and bread. Taste of leaves, malt, nuts, spice, bread and caramel. At times, it was enjoyable, and then at other times it was harsh. General_Gao (2368), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Nov 21, 2007 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was off white with good retention. There was only minimal lace left behind at the end. Aroma was of light butterscotch/buttery caramel. There was also a whiff of steeping barley. Slightly sweet with a hint of malty caramel flavor. There wasn’t any significant hop bitterness or flavor. So so. igneous1 (1360), Davenport, Iowa, USA Oct 31, 2007 typical orange/brown color (great autumn colors) for an O’fest. head is frothy, beige. aroma has a lot of bready malts and a nice earthiness. flavor is pretty similar with a metallic quality. not bad, but thin. NeonLX (255), Wisconsin, USA Oct 29, 2007 I finally found a six pack of this; seems like most retailers around here didn’t get very much of it. From a 12-oz. bottle, this pours a crystal-clear copper with a thin head. Lots of bubbles making their way to the top. Bready & slightly nutty aroma. Initial malty taste with moderate nuttiness and a hint of vanilla. Surpringly dry. Not a heavy beer by any means but quite tasty; very easy to knock back.
