COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Point Oktoberfest is an authentic Marzen Style Lager Beer, a style reminiscent of the beers originally brewed for the first Oktoberfest Celebrations in Germany during the early 1800’s. Hand-crafted using Hallertauer hops and sweet Vienna roasted malts for a rich amber hue. The result is a full flavored, well balanced beer, brewed in celebration of the upcoming season.

This is the averagest oktoberfest ever created. It is outstanding in its averageness. There is nothing particularly horrible or good about this beer.

Aroma is fruityand malty. Taste is sweet and strongly malted. Not bad for the price, it at least bears resemblance to "real"Oktoberfest beers.

Copper color. Smell of roasted malt, leaves, spice and bread. Taste of leaves, malt, nuts, spice, bread and caramel. At times, it was enjoyable, and then at other times it was harsh.

It poured a light amber color with a white head. The aroma was of some honey and a little caramel. The taste was also malty with a crisp finish, but really not much else.

Pretty can thats for sure. Kind of watery I must say SA does it a lot better Octoberfest though I have had a few good beers from Point. This is just average drinkable smooth.Nice gateway beer I guess if someone wanted to try something different. Nothing wrong with this Orange color very easy to drink.

12 oz bottle pours a clear amber with a small white head and a little lacing. Aroma is mostly caramel malts, with some vanilla and a bit of grass. Finish has a light citrus touch. Body is light to medium without much carbonation. As the start of the name implies, it’s OK, but I won’t search for this next fall. Thankfully, I only paid $6 for a 6-pack.

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine, Virginia Beach. Pours a clear amber color with a thin off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of grainy toasted malts. The taste is toasted malts, apple, faint hop finish. Thin and slightly watery.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark gold body with a very thin fizzy white head that faded very quickly. Looks rather thin on the pour. The nose is fairly thin with a slightly husky note and some light sweetness. I don’t smell any hops in here at all. The flavor is rather thin and sweet with light huskiness on the finish. This is seriously lacking in body and depth of the malt profile. The flavor profile really comes across as more of an Amber Ale than a true Marzen. Light bodied and thin in texture with a slight stickiness on the finish, light fizzy carbonation. Not exactly a role model for the style.

typical orange/brown color (great autumn colors) for an O’fest. head is frothy, beige. aroma has a lot of bready malts and a nice earthiness. flavor is pretty similar with a metallic quality. not bad, but thin.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was off white with good retention. There was only minimal lace left behind at the end. Aroma was of light butterscotch/buttery caramel. There was also a whiff of steeping barley. Slightly sweet with a hint of malty caramel flavor. There wasn’t any significant hop bitterness or flavor. So so.
