3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good aroma, full palate, with a taste that is good but not great. Finish is dry with a bit of hops. Overall slightly above average.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bright golden- copper in color, small foamy off white head, that doesn't last long. Weak citrus aroma of hops, some caramel malt flavors with a mild hop bite make this very easy to drink, has a strange off flavor, light and watery with a light stale bitterness in the finish, I didn't care for this one at all.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Faint, roasted malt aroma with hints of light bitterness. Small, frothy head that is mostly diminishing. Body has normal carbonation that is somewhat hazy, with small particles. Medium amber hue. Heavy malt in the initial mouthfeel that is cut somewhat by hops & alcohol, but not enough to be truly well-balanced. Improves as it warms, yet this is still a below average American Pale Ale. Nevertheless, cudos to the Point brewery for starting to diversify their product line.

She looks of an October orangish brown in color and give pretty weak head. Her taste is pure malt with no hint of hops...her finish leaves you high and very dry..solid

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pale ale aroma and hops bitterness. Not the best pale ale. Head dies quickly. A good beer though when fishing in the Northwoods of Wi.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Familiar (read: not very interesting) hop flavor and aroma, some unpleasant bitterness. Head is foamy and disappears too fast. As far as $4.99/sixer pale ales go, Iíd take the Berghoff over this. At a dollar or so more, Iíd beg anyone to skip both in favor of Sierra Nevada.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Orange in color with a nice, frothy white head out of the bottle. Very little aroma. I found this to be a harsh tasting Pale Ale with the sensation of bitter without any flavor to go with it. I agree with several raters below that if you see Point, get the bock.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Still a good beer, but would prefer an Amber or a Special over this one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A pale for beer lovers who arenít into the western style hoppiness. I prefer the amber and the bock, but this is a nice beer.

RERATE: Iíll be the first to admit that my rating of this brew is tinged by nostalgia; it IS, however, a decent pale, though the teeter heavily tots toward malt. Original rating 8/21/01: This is a smooth drinking, workingmanís pale - just enough hoppiness for some character and not enough punch to make you sit up and take notice when all you really want to do is relax after a long day. I drank gallons of this when I taught high school in Wisconsin Rapids.
