Just like the "big boys" except it has slightly more flavor. Same malt and sweet corn, same carbonation bittering. Not much gone wrong because there isn’t much to start with.

Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is of earthy tones and hay. Flavor is similar with not much else. Only slightly better than your run of the mill pale lager.

12oz can. Rating #235. Clear light gold pour with a white head. Grain and corn aroma. Light sweetness, more grain and corn with a light bitter finish. This is one of my sentimental favorites from my home state and will be scored a little higher than it probably should, but I don’t care cause I enjoy it. (1916)

(bottle 6/12/11). Clear gold color. Medium off white head, which is mostly diminishing. Light sweet malt aroma and flavor. Avg duration. Light dry finish. Thin texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

This isn’t too tasty. Light and a bit funky, yet still has a filling quality to it that so many macro beers have.

There’s not a whole lot to say about this one. Has some similarities to Eastern European pils offerings, but with much less flavor. It’s not all that bad...the flavors are too weak to really be offensive. It drinks easy and isn’t overly carbonated as some in the style tend to be. But it’s far from a top choice.

The aroma isn’t much. There is mostly adjuncts like corn and some hay like hops as well as a hint of funky yeast. The appearance is pale gold with a medium head. The taste is actually better than the aroma. It’s weak in the hops department and has an adjunct quality but it’s also buttery. The palate is average for the style. Overall a unique lager and worth trying.

Clear bubbly yellow with a white head. Bready aroma. Taste is sweet malt, corn with v. light hops and a slightly tart finish.
