12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a
pale straw color with a medium head. Poor head retention and
lacing. Very grassy aroma with some corny notes. Taste is
bitter, with grain and corn notes. Medium bodied.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 bubbleflubber (1206) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - DEC 24, 2008
A golden pour in the glass, with an initial frothy head that diminishes to a thin cap, leaving trace soap lace. Some sour grains and lemongrass to the nose. Corn and sour grain flavors, with light lemon and airy confection sugar. The finish is understated, with some macro corn predominating. Overly carbonated with a thin mouthfeel, this is a "not good" pale lager. Very ordinary, and not outstanding in any way.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 esjaygee (2496) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 21, 2008
Pale yellow, thin white head. A micro making a macro style, and pretty true to form, with some minor upgrades. So basically, it’s not very good. Corn and sweet malts, blah blah blah.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 HopheadHans (789) - Bay Area, California, USA - DEC 14, 2008
Tap. Pours with a yeloow color. The beer is quite crips, has some hop flavors and bit of a breadiness. Brewed more in the European style, not spectacular but drinkable.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 johnnyoski (287) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - NOV 26, 2008
12oz bottle: Very light, almost a clear yellow color. Little to no-head from the pour. Aroma consists of a faint corn and earthy smell. Very light on the palate and a watery taste. It finishes pleasantly without any lingering aftertaste. Quite refreshing but lacking in flavor.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Dogbrick (4531) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 23, 2008
Bottle from The Liquor Barrell in Benton, IL. The beer is a mostly clear yellow-gold color with a thin and rocky white head that dissipates quickly. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Light grainy malt and hops in the nose. Light body with a smooth texture and a sweet malty character. Touches of grain, fruit and milld floral hops. The finish is short and sweet with a pale malt aftertaste. Below average overall.
1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 brokephibroke (172) - Mead, Colorado, USA - OCT 5, 2008
The best example of a WI lager in the mass market. If you enjoy real beer, stay away, but really not bad.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 troyc (2014) - Oklahoma, USA - OCT 3, 2008
(Bottle) Pours a golden color with a fizzy white head. Grainy aroma of corn. Light malts in there as well. Decent hop flavor for a lager. Slightly astringent. Palate was a little light. Grain and hay in the finish. Nothing "Special" about this...
