No head at all here, the beer is medium brown in color with no carbonation. Aroma is of barley but only a bit of malt. Some flavors that resemble a barley wine are present but that fades early into a malt and dark fruit flavor. Hops add a mild sharpness but aren’t very apparent. Some flavors of roasted nuts can be found. This beer lives in the "ho hum" zone. Its just not very exciting.

bottle-pours deep copper/bronze with a small off-white fizzy head. nose is full of cardboardy toasted amber malt-lots of wet carboard though. flavors are mostly the cardboard with some toasted grainy notes. really rudimentry and not pleasant at all. hops? WHERE? carbonation is huge on this one which detracts from the palate. definately needs work and definately not revisiting this one.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear copper color. Head was off white, short lived, and didn’t leave any lace behind. Aroma was of malty caramel and cereal grain. Dry on the tongue. Malt dominated flavor with fruity and buttery notes. Finishes with fresh cereal grain aftertaste. Eh.

Bottle: Not an ugly beer, but "eh" Definite tobacco notes, with bock maltyness and some apple tartness. In the mouth this beer starts out fruity and malty with bitter tobacco undertones. Some pepper qualities. Creamy sweetness at the start, followed by some grape qualities and tobacco like bitterness. Dies a little at the swallow before the malty and black current finish. Quite good, actually.

Thankfully the last in my last questionable batch I bought. Pours clear bronze with a soapy tan head with decent retention. The aroma has dark creamy malt with some damn diacetyl butter, light sweetness and cocoa. Medium / thin body with sharp lively carbonation. The flavor starts with dark malts, cream and medicinal traits. The finish has the diacetyl traits, spice and sourness. Thumbs down for this mediocre bock.

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverages - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour - frothy, creamy off-white head. Nutty, sweet candy like aroma. Caramel, toffee and nuts in the flavor. Hints of chocolate in the finish. Clean, even mouthfeel with a strong finsih. Pleasantly surprised.

Pours a med / dark amber with a small head. A nice amount of carbonation also. Aroma is light malts, cocoa, and nutty hints. Flavor was real nice. Lots of caramel, malts and roasted nuts. I really liked this one.

12oz bottle. Poured a deep orange with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, caramel, light chocolate and lightly nutty. Tastes of caramel, chocolate, and toasted nuts. Thin and somewhat watery body.
