Both the head and lacing were spare. The color was a nice dark red. The beer had a nice full taste of barley and carmel.

This is a disappointment. Sweet aroma and sweet flavor but everything seems off; there is little "bock" quality to this beer. Looks good with a dark red color.

Bottle. Small tan head that was mostly lasting, fine-large sized bubbles, fair lacing, carbonated, transparent, and a reddish brown hue. Nose was malty, caramel and hops. Flavor was malt, caramel and light hops. Mouthfeel was smooth. Light-medium body.

In low light I might think this dark brown, but held up to the light it is ruby red. The head piled on nicely, but dwindled too quickly. My take on the aroma would be caramel malt. The flavor is heavily sweetened, with a bitter veggie-like bitterness, almost a cigar-like finish. Very light bodied and the flavor tries to be warming and complex, but ends up coming across as ’unfinished.’

Pours rosy brown with an off-white/grey medium head. Hard to pick out the flavors at first but as it warmed they became more apparent. Aroma is honeyish, a very sweet caramel and chocolate malt. Medium bodied with flavors of sweet caramel nicely offset by bitter chocolate and hops. A nice smoky malt and hops finish but could have used a pinch more hops. Not the best bock but still a very good beer for the price.

Really surprised by the color, since I was expected the gold of a mai bock. It looks and tastes nothing like a mai bock to me, which is maybe why they chose to call it a spring bock. I suppose it must fit the bock style generally, because it is a very sweet lager. Just a bit of roasted caramel taste. Not great but very drinkable and really okay for the price (under 6 bucks here).

It’s a bit thin for a bock, but a drinkable brew. Pekoe colored with a thin white head, it has a mild caramel aroma containing hints of milk chocolate. The flavor reflects the smell of this light-bodied drink. There’s just a hint of hops at the very end of the finish. OK.
