COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Point Three Kings is a highly drinkable golden colored Kölsh-Style Ale inspired by the story of the three kings whose remains reside in the Köln Cathedral in Köln Germany. Köln is the birthplace of Kölsh ale, often referred to as the ‘crown jewel of brewing art’. Elegant and well-balanced Three Kings is hand-crafted with a delicate fruity aroma, clean soft maltiness, and crisp subtle hopping – an adventure fit for a king."

On tap for growler fills at Half Time. Pours a clear gold with a large white head. Crisp grain, light yeast. Medium bodied, empty, corn and grain. Light bitterness. Very drinkable, but a bit empty, more grain on the finish.

pours a standard clear gold. aroma is mildly skunky grain and hops. Taste is more like a macro lager. finish is mildly hoppy. Not bad beer, but not outstanding.

Aroma is grains and malts with a hint of sweetness. The flavor is mildly sweet malts, beery and a smooth finish. Decent enough.

Pours a pale golden color with a medium head that shrinks quickly into a small head.

The aroma is doughy, a little citrusy, and metallic.

The flavor is doughy and bright, which is nice but the general crispness and clean character of a good beer of this style seem muddled leaving the beer tasting a little unfocused and messy, but not horrible by a long shot. The metallic character in the aroma is hardly detectable in the flavor, the hops are used somewhat liberally for the style, which is of course very complimentary. There is a nice medium level of bitterness throughout the beer, all is not sunny though. Some vegetal character and a little bit too high a level of sweetness make this beer fall short of it’s potential.

The beer drinks pretty easy and is far from all out offensive, but I don’t know that I’ll be buying it again considering superior products from the same brewery at the same price point that sit directly next to it on the shelf.

12 oz bottle pours a normal clear yellow-golden color with small receding white head and mimimal lacing. Smells of yeast and grains. Aroma is grainy and grassy. Taste is more bitter than sweet. No nasty aftertaste, but thin body with average carbonation and clean finish. At least this Wisconsin brewery is unpretentious. An OK beer but nothing memorable.

Aroma: banana and bubblegum, some soap, sugary; Appearance: standard hazy yellow, weak, white head upon pour, quickly dissipates; Taste: bread and oats, mild floral/perfume boquet, not distinctly clover; Palate: mostly draft beer aftertaste, nothing unappealing, but nothing that leaves you wanting more, leaves your mouth sour if you drink it slowly; Overall: nothing amazing, won’t remember it for much, not disappointing, but nothing I’ll shower praise over...

Pours a yellow straw color with a smallish pure white head. Nose is of grains, hops and grass. Fairly creamy on the mouthfeel, the taste is a nice blend of hops with lightly roasted grains in the kolsh style. A slightly better than average beer but not distinctive enough to be a regular in my beer cooler. Pairs well with chips and dip.

Pale yellow colored brew with a bright white head. The nose has some nice raw dough. There is also some green beans and a little bit of raw green leaf lettuce. The taste has a bitter bit of leafy greens and a bite of tobacco. There is also a little bit of some herbs and wood. I would like this more if it had a little bit of sweetness or fruit to balance out the strong vegetable character.

Do these guys need to make more shitty tasting boned ales? Buttery with a hint of water.

Pretty bland. Yellow, ring of foam. Bready malt, plus some corn in the aroma. Flavor is bread and corn, as well.
