"Point Three Kings is a highly drinkable golden colored Kölsh-Style Ale inspired by the story of the three kings whose remains reside in the Köln Cathedral in Köln Germany. Köln is the birthplace of Kölsh ale, often referred to as the ‘crown jewel of brewing art’. Elegant and well-balanced Three Kings is hand-crafted with a delicate fruity aroma, clean soft maltiness, and crisp subtle hopping – an adventure fit for a king."

Poured a clear deep gold with a light head that faded quickly to lace. Aroma was interesting - slight malt sweetness with a fruity/pine hint and a pinch of honey. Taste was of malt, fruity/pear/pine mix and a light to moderate hop bitterness. After a while I realized it is kind of similar to Leine’s with the pine/pear hints. Palate was decent. Overall not a bad new offering by Point.

Poured into a pils glass. 3.25 A: Clear golden wheat color. Two fingers of frothy white head. Retention is about average and a small amount of lacing is left. 3.25 S: Grassy hoppiness. Sweet neutral maltiness. Hay and lager yeast. A bit doughier than I’d like. Could be a bit cleaner, but it’s still pretty good. 3.25 T: Like the nose. Grassy hops, hay, sweet neutral malts, and some doughiness. Again could be cleaner, but not bad. 3.5 M: Lighter body. Good moderate carbonation. Crisp and refreshing as it ought to be. 3.5 D: Decent kolsch. It’s a lot cheaper than the best ones out there, so I guess it has a niche. DavoleBomb, Jul 08, 2013

Rated on 4-18-2013 (Bottle) This beer forms a small smooth white head with a lengthy retention, transparent bright yellow body, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is bready malt, crisp and corn. The flavor is bready mat and corn. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is medium. I am not impressed at all with this beer. It is a very lame tasting beer.

Decent tasting beer with just a hint of bitterness. I would definitely buy this beer again.

My bottle reads "Three Kings Kölsch Style Ale."
This has a promising look to it, a clear golden body with heavy bubbling supporting a dense, if modest sized, creamy head. The aroma is much like warm white bread and honey with a bit of the comb. The flavor is sweet, bread and honey with a light grassiness. Quite drinkable, but not enough character to make it repeatable to me.

Light golden pour. Little aroma. Very light malt taste with nice carbonation and mouthfeel. Very clean taste

Bottle to pint (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a fairly transparent gold with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells mildly hoppy with notes of lager yeast. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Not bad.

@ Party Town / Florence KY --- Slightly hazy light amber with a persistent smooth 1/2" head, no lace. Taste has the hint of sulfur found in good German examples, but lacks the balance needed in the sweet malt that compliments it. Light, quite drinkable, but also not memorable.

Pout from a 12 oz bottle. Golden yellow brew iwth white head. Aroma of sweet malts and sour hops. Taste follows the aroma - light clean sweet malts at the start and a crisp / sour hops in the finish. Simple but tasty.
