Candy bread aromas warm to light swirls of kettle corn. Messy malt liquor flavors of sweet honey malt and grains throughout. Medium bodied, soft carboanation, sweet finish. Better served from a 40oz in a brown bag...

Not much aroma, slightly grainy with a faint hops note. Flavor is a bit sweet, a little bit of hops with a surprisingly smooth finish. tennisjoel (953), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Slight hazy lighter golden appearance with a quickly diminishing head. Notes of lemon, hops, spruce, and corn. Slightly sweet flavor. Alcohol noticed. A bit harsh on the palate. Ho hum. WVHouseofBeer (398), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Well I originally thought that I had poured a random pumpkin ale into my glass when drinking this, so I was a little surprised by the utter lack of spicy flavor. So I checked the bottle and saw "Imperial Pilsner," ewww. Overall the beer has a shady yellow color and thin white head. A very light hop smell rises from hay, and grassy hop body. The body is shockingly no-watery and actually provides for some of the flavor to come through. Overall, not a good brew but drinkable. msante79 (859), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2009 12oz bottle from Orland Park Binny’s single rack. Pours clear pale gold with small white head. Aroma is sweet malt, grains, light citrus, and very light hops. Flavor is sweet malt, citrus, grainy, light hops bitterness, and maybe some light clove. Light on the palate and can’t believe this is 8.5% ABV. Usually imperial pilsners are syrupy messes but this one is not. However, this is fairy light in the flavor catagory for an imperial so there is a trade off. Finishes bitter and grainy. Not bad but not that good either. Strykzone (1505), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 20, 2009 This beer pours a clear golden color with steady carbonation and a small white head that holds up well. Not a lot of aroma but grain and malt are noted. First sip is alcohol. It is, again, grainy, honey, and malty with an aftertaste that is big and bitter. That aftertaste dominates and is a detraction. Not a quality offering. hombrepalo (789), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Bottle from Archer Liquors. Pours a rich gold with a large and thick creamy white head. This has a rich flavor of a pilsner that is slightly stronger than it should be. Didn’t care for it. milljam (584), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 14, 2009 Pretty disappointing overall. Aroma was weak with only a hint of hops. Flavor was bland malt with some hop notes. Nothing really good here... esjaygee (1600), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Clear deep golden yellow with a thin white head, slowly dissipating and leaving waves of lace behind. Aroma of citrus, noble hops, pale malt and some mild floralness as well. Taste of citrus and floral hops backed up by some sweet malt. Smooth body has moderate bitterness with a touch of floralness. Finishes up citric and light dry with some warming effects.
