Poured copper-gold with decent head. Aromatics of sweet pumpkin pie spices. Great flavor! A nice surprise with Thanksgiving this year. An interesting discovery - 2012 GABF winner.

12 oz. bottle. Shared with others. Pours a thin, short duration off white head, over a hazy amber (SRM 10) body.....nose is heavy spices, with cinnamon, nutmeg dominating......taste is heavy cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, pumpkin light caramel/toffee sweetness throughout with minimal hop....mouth feel medium, thick, alcohol hidden, carbonation medium. This is a very heavily spiced pumpkin ale, with the spice dominating all else. I do not care for this much spice ina beer. BJCP 6/3/10/4/5

Just cracked this open and the aroma is all ginger snaps. Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Big thanks to ughsmash. Lots of holiday spicing, warming, chocolate, toffee. There is any interesting creamy texture to the mouthful, pumpkin maybe? Very nice.

Draught at Andys Corner bar. Very comparable to Southern Tier Pumking but better. Dark copper orange in color, with a little off white head. Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Pumpkin pie spice aroma, tastes so close to pumpkin pie. Light malty hoppy notes. Light pumpkin pie, nutmeg, cinnamon flavor with light bitterness notes. Full bodied. Finish is malty and dry and enjoyable. Very drinkable.

12oz bottle into a tulip. Pours a hazy brownish-orange with a thin head that quickly fades into a ring around the edge of the glass. Nothing in the way of lacing. Aroma is one of the best I’ve experienced in a pumpkin beer. Spices like clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon are there but there is an added sweetness. Almost like whipped cream. The taste carries the same characteristics as the aroma and again that whipped cream touch the makes it perfect. There is also a little bit of caramel and never does the beer become too sweet and cloying. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky and finishes pretty clean. Overall, a really amazing pumpkin beer that more people need to try. I wish more could be made like this.

Pours dark orange umber with a small light beige head. Smells of pumpkin, spices, and hints of crust sweetness. Taste is exactly like a pumpkin pie in beer form. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and lightly fizzy mouth-carbonation, Point Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale finishes sweet and pumpkin pie-like.

WOW! I was expecting the usual mild flavored boring pumpkin beer when I popped this open, but was I surprised! Aroma was very weak and I figured I was right. Pour was a nice light brown with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was stunning. Heavy pumpkin pie spices fill the mouth with cinnamon and nutmeg taking center stage. These spices have a nice sharp bite that plays well with the malty sweetness. Deliciously sweet and pumpkinny finish. Next year, once Pumking is sold out I will definitely seek this out!

Bottle. Pours deep amber/Orange with off-white head. Aroma has everything a pumpkin pie has...pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and even doughy crust. Flavor is much the same but add some malty sweetness and it is perfected!! You can even taste the crust in this beauty! Mouthfeel is medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Overall, I love everything about this brew, the maltiness, the flavors, the balance....EXCELLENT brew!!!

Pours an orange copper with an off white head. Strong pumpkin spice aroma with some caramel. Taste is sweet spicy pumpkin pie. Slick texture. Pretty nice pumpkin beer.
