Bottle 12fl.oz.
Clear dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark roasted, wood, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, wood, chocolate notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100410]

12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, slight breadish and dark chocolate,. Bitter herbal and dark breadish malt flavoured. Dry and roasted finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of SecretSanta himself. Pours a very dark brown with a tint of red and a beige head. Aroma of licorice and roasted malts. Solid body, roasted malts, dried fruit and again licorice. Dry finish, but a bit on the sweet side - no malt astringency. Subtle. 100410

Bottle at Papsø. Clear red brown coloured with a small beige head. Fruity and light roasted aroma with notes of dark chocolate. Fruity and roasted flavour of caramel and dark chocolate. Light roasted finish.

Tasting at Papsø
Dark mahogany color; creamy head. Aroma of cardboard, paper, vegetables, bread; confused. Caramel and moderately roasted malt flavor, trying to hide a small infection, with some residual sweetness.Problematic strong Porter.

(12oz bottle, courtesy of thirdeye11) Pours a deep mahogany (near black) body with small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, cocoa, raisins, and mustiness. Flavor of caramel, roasted malt, light coffee, and some chocolate.

Near black with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with hard roasted malt, coffee and liquerice. Flavour had roasted malt, dark chocolate, liquerice and coffee notes. Finished sweet.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours really dark brown with a slight creamy beige head. I really can’t find words for the aroma other than treacle. Med minus body. Flavor is pretty much treacle. There’s some balancing bitter, but that cuts the sugar not the flavor. Not even getting a lot of burnt malt. Treacle.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate and small hop aroma. Moderate to heavy dark sweet malt flavor with a moderate to heavy sweet finish of average duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This beer met my expectations.

A dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, a dark fruit and biscuit malt, roasted cereals, light ethanol and solvents. In mouth, a dark fruity chocolate, light plums, licorice, and light warming alcohol. Tasted with GRM on June 1 2012.
