It just wasnít enough to use a blend of 5 varieties of hops in our India Pale Ale. We needed more. We needed to go wholehog! So, we added a sixth hop and created a more pronounced hop nose and a massive hop flavor for our American twist to this legendary style.

A bronzed orange color, tiny bubbles, thin head. A standard grapefruit aroma with a nice mix of floral and grassy hops giving this a pleasant and not overpowering aroma. Taste is a little more muddled coming off as grassy, malt sweet, and notes of cardboard. Finish is mildly sweet and faintly dry.

Pours a nice copper color with a medium head. Aromas of caramel malt and hops.Flavor is of caramel malts mainly, but then a nice bitter hop comes through.Nice bitter finish. The body seemed a little thin for a imperial though.

I didnít think I would care that much for ths selection but I was wrong. Have had IPAís by more recoginzned brewers that didnít reach this level. The hops taste was above average and I really liked this beer. Pointís pale ale is under rated and so is this IPA. Give it a try!

Ok, not quite as impressive as the other Hog, but more enjoyable then their regular lineup. A decent mahogany pour with a creamy off white head. Aroma was a little unbalanced- lots of malts with some soft pine and light hops. Taste was very rich with malts upfront and a curly cue tailend hop finish that was wasnít as generous as described.

Slightly cloudy copper color with a medium tan head. Aroma of pine with hints of caramel and citrus. Strong blended hop flavor but a nice malty taste. Not to harsh for an IPA, itís a little bitter but it actually has a somewhat sweet flavor.

Bottle; poured an amber-orange color with not much head. Aroma was hoppy and a bit earthy, but a bit messy. Flavor was a blast of citrus and earthy; a fairly bitter version of the style. Drinkable and solid.

GRain hop and caramel cake malting, somewhat faint for an imperial as it warmed the caramel came to dominate, taste is a definite mixture of hops ,you taste all kinds of hop sensations that emege and whirlpool together, plenty of bittering hops evident, with slight wisps of that now reclusive malting.Canít really grasp and hold on to any particular hop flavor, perhaps muddled, but just fine for a hophead. Thanks LT.Judge

Pours an amber color with a white, thin film of a head and moderate carbonation. Aroma is very nice with a strong pine resin and floral hops note, light citrus with lots of sweet caramel coming through at the end. Flavor begins with a sharp grapefruit citrus mixed with some resiny pine. Once this subsides, a smooth and sweet caramel malt flavor takes over and combines very nicely with a lightened citrus and a very bitter hops ending. Beer has a very nice thickness to it to hold the hops flavors very well with a nice smooth alcohol bite at the end of the drink. Overall I was very surprised to see that a Point beer could be this good and bee this drinkable.

Picked up a four pack from Discount Liquors in Waukesha, Wisconsin. From a 12-oz bottle pours a clear golden dark amber colored brew with a decent beige head that slowly dissipates to a thin creamy head. Aroma of citrus zest, a hint of pine, some golden grain malt and some dry herbs. Taste is medium to full bodied, some grapefruit, iced tea, a hint of spruce and dry herbs. Finish has a sharp bitterness that slowly disappears with a semi-dry aftertaste.
