It just wasn’t enough to use a blend of 5 varieties of hops in our India Pale Ale. We needed more. We needed to go wholehog! So, we added a sixth hop and created a more pronounced hop nose and a massive hop flavor for our American twist to this legendary style.

multiple 12oz pours (for research purposes), Not your typical IPA; probably a little sweeter than I was anticipating, but it doesn’t detract from its deliciousness! Has a "red" ale aroma that I love; its appearance is shite; taste and body are above average. This is good stuff.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is mostly floral hops with some caramel malts and a hint of alcohol. Sweet up front with the caramel malts. Floral hops come out on the end of this brew with some slight alcohol warming.

medium amber with a light carbed head. Aromas of pine, citrus hops, light apricot, light caramel. Flavors of pinecitrus hops, apricot towards the back end flavors, slight caramel but overpowered with hops. No alcohol noticed. Resin like on the palate. Bitter end. Good. Period.

A murky hazed dark amber IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, a nice earthy biscuitty malt with resinous floral hops, with some catnip notes and light spruce notes. In mouth, a smooth herbaceous biscuit malt, with grassy and floral hops, attenuated with age, but still very solid. Bottle more than a year old.

The pour is a standard medium amber with a short-lasting head. The way it was hyped I was expecting a big hoppy note on the nose but it was more subtle and slightly malted. The body is smooth and medium. The taste though was the big comeback with a more powerful hopped up flavor but also something juicy and fruit-like up front. Bitter but dryish finish.

Clear golden orange with a tiny ring of a head. The aroma is buttery caramel malts and floral, citrus hops. Sweet at first, with some alcohol and dryness. The bitterness is just enough to balance. Has an unusual macro pale lager taste in there as well. Not much in the way of flavor and pretty warm for 8.5%.

Pours bright clear orange amber into a snifter. White head quickly recedes to hug rim. Sour caramel and resin aromas. Soft with stale caramel and resin front to back. Bitter earthy sweet finish.

12oz bottle. Deeper golden pour with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted grains, floral hops, citrus, and a some caramel. Tastes of caramel, citrus, pine, and a lighter fruitiness. Lighter alcohol in the finish.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of malt, hops, burnt caramel, light fruit, toasting, and butterscotch. Poured amber in color with a tiny, white head that disappeared except for around the edges. Clear. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, pine, resin, light citrus, and some orange. Medium body. Oily, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, hop, pine, resin, citrus finish is light to medium sweet and medium to heavily bitter. 8.5%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Shared 12 oz. bottle at a local geek tasting. Poured to my sampler with a orange/gold color, modest, off white head foam, and some spotty lacing. The aroma was citrus, mid-fruit, some resin, and malt sweetness. The flavor was similar, adding moderate hop bitterness and fairly hidden alcohol warmth to the medium body. A decent, standard IPA, but not a DIPA imo.
