It just wasnít enough to use a blend of 5 varieties of hops in our India Pale Ale. We needed more. We needed to go wholehog! So, we added a sixth hop and created a more pronounced hop nose and a massive hop flavor for our American twist to this legendary style.

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, light citrus and light pine. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, fruittiness and light pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering earthy finish.

Aroma is like opening a new bottle of cough medicine. Taste is OK, but this is not an imperial IPA; at least not in my world.

Pours a hazy orange with lots of sediment and good lacing. Aroma is malty with a hint of butterscotch. Taste is a sharp and moderately offensive, with a stinging tang of aspirin bitterness. Any good nuances are short-lived and youíre left with the boozy pill powder bitterness in the aftertaste. Barely salvageable retronasal, but itís not even remotely worth it.

This pours a mostly clear, dark amber color with a slight off-white head. The aroma is fairly sweet and yeast for being an India Pale Ale. The taste is smooth, sweet, and fairly malty. In the finish there is a bit of a bitter taste but not anything you would expect from an IPA. Not bad by any means but certainly not very true to the style.

Hardly any aroma at all...faint hops...thatís about it. Nice deep orange color. White head fades fast. Sweet malt at first...but a little off. Quickly followed by deep bitterness that is harsh. Finishes with the same bitterness and lingers with off tasting notes. You can feel the alcohol...nice warm glow, but besides that...not much going on here.

@ Party Town / Florence KY --- Cloudy dark orange amber with a light head cover, wisps of lace. Taste is caramel malt that adds a jolt of hop bittering at the end of the palate, only to release most of it back to the malt in the finish. A polite malty IPA, which may not be embraced by hop-heads or malt lovers.

Pretty orange cloudy pour from bottle thanks to boozedude. Ripe grapefruit bitter smell. Taste is fruity and hoppy but a little stale.

Pours a dark copper color with a smallish head and bits of lacing. Aroma of Grapefruit, bit of pine with some malt sweetness and grain.Taste of grapefruit, malt, mild caramel sweetness and bit of grain. Nice bitterness and the finish is quite dry. Medium body, crisp and clean. Nicely balanced as the 8.5% ABV is well hidden. Has a bit of character.Enjoyable beer, much better than I expected.
