3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The little lights aren’t twinkling. .. Pours a deep tan, with a champion headring, with great lacing .. . quite a malty nose for a IIPA.. syrup, resin, hog, and grated wood .. . quite a kick, swims on the tongue- but still quite easy to get down .. thanks Lou, i enjoyed this brew but i think it needs abit more bitterness to be great- the abv is done nicely though .. .
I simply solved the problem. We needed a coffin... Er, a tree. There are no lots open on Christmas Eve. Lewis burned down my tree so I replaced it as best I could. Voilŕ.
Are you okay?

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. Poured clear reddish-orange with a short cap of white head. The aroma opened with a dose of dirty, earthy notes and light bandaid.. thankfully that wore off rather quickly, but unfortunately it was followed by a dose of rubbing alcohol.. finally some caramel maltage accented by spicy floral and light citrus hops came through. The flavor started with tangy citrus zest and some boozage, with sweeter caramel coming through at the core.. there was actually more sourness and booze around the edges than hop bitterness (citrus and earth for the most part).. finished tacky, hot, and not tasty. Medium-plus bodied with a heavy, oppressive feel to it.. carbonation was alright.. didn’t care for it.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Pours a transparent amber orange with a thin, wispy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet toffee and mild butterscotch (not necessarily the diacetyl kind) with some juicy piny hops. Starts with good fullness and a sugary sweet maltiness with some light fruity notes and some orange and spruce character before a slightly more bitter finish. An ok IPA, but could use a bigger citrusy hop profile.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle [355ml]. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size semi-lasting frothy off-white head and decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is hoppy yes but also sweet with resiny hops, caramel malt and a good amount of fruit. Interesting flavour, it’s surprisingly fruity along with the hops and caramel malt. Alcohol was present but mostly well hidden. Medium bodied. Pretty good, I enjoyed it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Eagan, Mn. - Big Top Wine and Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Medium orange pour, off white head, brief mention of spruce in the aroma. Flavor has an overwhelming malty funkiness one usually equates with poorly made home brew. Hints of citrus redeem it somewhat. Starchy mouthfeel. Below average.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Clear copper with a thin foamy white head. Great aroma of passion fruit and bitter grapefruit hoppiness with a sturdy bitter resin backing, mild earthy sweet caramel undertone. Flavor is bitter and resinous but also sweet where it needs to be with caramel covered grapefruit rind, lots of pine, a bit of dank earthy fresh hops, and more leafy bitterness on the finish. Great west-coast IPA from America’s heartland. Just bracing enough to bite, but balanced enough to quaff generously.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Clear bubbly copper-amber, large fairly long-lasting off-white pillowy beige head. Smells like a solid US hoppy barleywine - resin, leaf-dryness, plenty of alcohol, very malty indeed - nice!! Taste - well, the same - thick, chewy, a bit boozy (in a good way) - a fairly bitter finish - was not expecting this - very very nice in a 12oz botttle.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel-amber color with a huge orange-beige head that lingered. The aroma was moderately fruity, piney and a touch minty with a hint of caramel underneath. The flavor was bitter, tangy and had moderate notes of spruce and pine and lighter notes of fruity and floral hops. There was a hint of mint and a moderate caramel presence. The beer turns a bit dry towards the medium length finish. Medium body. Alcohol well hidden. Solid.
