COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It just wasnít enough to use a blend of 5 varieties of hops in our India Pale Ale. We needed more. We needed to go wholehog! So, we added a sixth hop and created a more pronounced hop nose and a massive hop flavor for our American twist to this legendary style.

Drank from a 12oz bottle. Has a slightly burnt caramel flavor and not so much hop flavor.

I really liked their Imperial Pilsner, but this is a cascading wall of hops that disappears into a big palate black hole. I would say that you have to work hard to enjoy it, but even working hard doesnít do it. It has an empty minerally soda pop body that is going into the masaman curry tonight, where it should nicely offset some of the sweetness.

from notes: very malty, not very hoppy. Not great. Seems like a high alcohol version of an english bitter. Meh. Scroll past

uh no. Malty, not very hoppy. Slight hop aroma, brown/orange pour. Not only did I not get a hoppy flavor, but not even the imperial taste. Not great. Iíll pass on this one. Just because the style is imperial/double ipa, does not make this a good one. OK at best.

Hardly any aroma at all...faint hops...thatís about it. Nice deep orange color. White head fades fast. Sweet malt at first...but a little off. Quickly followed by deep bitterness that is harsh. Finishes with the same bitterness and lingers with off tasting notes. You can feel the alcohol...nice warm glow, but besides that...not much going on here.

Bottled. Poured clear reddish-orange with a short cap of white head. The aroma opened with a dose of dirty, earthy notes and light bandaid.. thankfully that wore off rather quickly, but unfortunately it was followed by a dose of rubbing alcohol.. finally some caramel maltage accented by spicy floral and light citrus hops came through. The flavor started with tangy citrus zest and some boozage, with sweeter caramel coming through at the core.. there was actually more sourness and booze around the edges than hop bitterness (citrus and earth for the most part).. finished tacky, hot, and not tasty. Medium-plus bodied with a heavy, oppressive feel to it.. carbonation was alright.. didnít care for it.

12 oz. - Maxís. Dried fruit and caramel notes warm to a soft butterscotch undertones Candied citric hop flavors throughout are beaten down by a sugary caramel malt hammer. Medium bodied, soft carboantion, sweet pine finish. I guess itís more in the realm of a British D-IPA, but ultimaltely I just didnít care. It was almost as bad as their Imperial Pils if youíre asking...

12oz bottle. Small off-white head atop lightly hazed body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, bread, light caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, pine, earthy, some caramel/bread, light booziness. Medium body, some resin. Wholly underwhelming.

4 pack on clearance... Pours a copper colour with a medium tight head. aroma is very soft. Woody hop and some floral. Light caramel malt. Flavour is burnt caramel. some resinous hop. Maybe my bottle was just really stale...

Bottle. Amber with golden hues and a 1/2 finger, foamy, off white head. Sweet caramel nose with mild hop aroma. Flavor is syrupy caramel with mild bitter and sweet after. Some hop flavor, mainly lemon. Double IPA, I think not. Amber ale, yes. Not a fan.
