It just wasnít enough to use a blend of 5 varieties of hops in our India Pale Ale. We needed more. We needed to go wholehog! So, we added a sixth hop and created a more pronounced hop nose and a massive hop flavor for our American twist to this legendary style.

Draft at the OF. Filtered deep orange-brown color. Solid foamy head. All sorts of orange-lemon peel bitterness. Lots of hop character though mostly on the bitter citrus end of the spectrum. Thick malt backbone, this is definitely a full-bodied, rich IIPA. A touch unrefined, but I can appreciate the intense bitterness for what it is. Worth a try, sort of like an overly assertive British IPA.

Very strong yet very smooth IPA, even my wife likes it...which says a lot. It says limited release, but itís been available for quite some time now...regardless, pick some up before it really is gone. Quite impressive.

12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Clear bubbly copper-amber, large fairly long-lasting off-white pillowy beige head. Smells like a solid US hoppy barleywine - resin, leaf-dryness, plenty of alcohol, very malty indeed - nice!! Taste - well, the same - thick, chewy, a bit boozy (in a good way) - a fairly bitter finish - was not expecting this - very very nice in a 12oz botttle.

medium amber with a light carbed head. Aromas of pine, citrus hops, light apricot, light caramel. Flavors of pinecitrus hops, apricot towards the back end flavors, slight caramel but overpowered with hops. No alcohol noticed. Resin like on the palate. Bitter end. Good. Period.

Not a bad IPA. Malty on the nose. Nothing really special. Not very bitter sweetness balances it all out. No head. And truly this is a double IPA. Iíve had better.

Clear amber to copper in color liquid. Tallish khaki colored head. Just a few rings of lace. Light citric hops along with some pine in the nose. A bit of grass and some caramel in the background. A hint of alcohol as it sets in the glass. Very smooth and slightly chewy feel. Firm, yet supple, I donít think I have used those terms for a beer before, but they seem to fit this one. Buttery caramel in the front. bitterness overtakes thing in the middle and on into the finish and linger. Some toasted malt also in the middle, but again the bitterness rules. Linger also has a bit of toasted grain. The balance seems a bit off. It seems like a strong Irish red to me.

The pour produces a clear gold with a good firm mostly white head. The aroma is fresh citrus hops and pine with a hint of juicy malt trying to push up through all of those hop aromas. The flavor is lightly bitter and the malts that were a little suppressed in the aroma come through better now. Not overwhelming in any sense, but a decent IIPA.

multiple 12oz pours (for research purposes), Not your typical IPA; probably a little sweeter than I was anticipating, but it doesnít detract from its deliciousness! Has a "red" ale aroma that I love; its appearance is shite; taste and body are above average. This is good stuff.

This is the best Point beer Iíve had by far. Poured with small to medium sized, cream colored head that didnít last too long and no lace. Color is an orange amber with plenty bubble trails. Aroma is is the best part and is very spicy. hop, and malt. Flavor doesnít have much of that spice, is highly bitter, then sweet, then carbonic tang. Body reflects the high bitterness and clashes with some of the other qualities. Finish is like flavor and body where the bitterness is overwhelming; lasting prominently to the end over a long time .

Had it out of a bottle. Poured a partly cloudy amber orange hue with a small head. Strong malt aroma with a heavy thick malt taste.
