Clear medium yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, dusty, sugar, cardboard and vegetable notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20081219]

Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Sweet hoppy aroma, almost candy-like with a spicy note – pine maybe. Dusty. A bit alcoholic. Nice as such, but it somehow doesn’t go all the way. Flavour is citrusy hops with apple notes. Sweet and slightly grainy. Bitter finish with dry vermouth-notes. Lingering apple notes. This had me a bit surprised – way better than I expected. Although not tha shiznit, still pretty good for a discount brew. 11-11-08.

Bottle. A clear, quite sparkling golden beer with a small, off-white head. Malty-sweet on the nose, with some grainyness, a little fruityness, and off course, a quite evident alcohol aroma. Sweet, malty and quite fruity flavor too, with some bitterness as well as the warming feeling from the alcohol. Medium body, and quite sticky in the mouth. Quite flavorful in the way strong Euro-lagers normally is, but it’s not my kind of flavorful. And off course it isn’t meant to be either. (080603)

Warm golden with a small white head. The aroma has notes of sweetness, alcohol and wet grain. The flavour is sweet with notes of alcohol, malt, grain and a very light, slightly citrussy bitterness. As the normal Guld Øl - very quickly forgotten.
