An outstanding beer for the 39 years I have enjoyed it. It must be consumed extremely cold. Light yet full bodied.

Like most of the lagers, but with a feature of Pilsner, reminds me a little the Holsten. With honey backtaste.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Polar Pilsner Type Beer has a medium, white head, some thin lacing, and a very bubbly, clear, yellow appearance. The aroma is very sweet, with mostly barley, but maybe an adjunct showing itself. Taste is of sweet barley malt, some background adjunct (rice?), and there is a light hop bitterness in the distance. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Polar finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and mostly dry. Overall, this is an enjoyable beer, and I think it’s worth trying. RJT

The corn gives this beer a very untypical flavour...

I drank this in Venezuela and Miami. Pretty good for such an inexpensive beer.

At the Brickskeller, Wash DC, 9/2/05: Light yellow with a decent white head. Decent little hop bite on a malty beer. Surprisingly well balanced. Sweet tea-like finish. Bud could learn.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Brickskeller, DC: Pale golden yellow with a medium white head that lasts, though no lacing on the glass. The aroma is mildly sweet pilsner malt, sweat, bread, dough, and a light stale hops. The taste is bread, grainy malt, light biscuit, straw, sweet dough, mild yeast. Finishes somewhat dry. Light bodied, medium carbonation, never watery which is impressive.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2012 Slight malty aroma. Golden yellow and clear colour. Light sweetness, some malt and very light bitterness. Very refreshing. Light body. Short dry after taste. The best pilsen in Venezuela. Great very cold on hot days. It goes very easy.
