Bottle, kindly provided by pivnizub. light minerally, orangepeel - aromatic hops. Light hazy amber, very fine carbonation, beautiful lace. Wooden, light minerally grain base overlaid with oranges and tomatolike sweetness - traditionel hops. Mellow, chewy, light sparkly mouthfeel. Citric and almondy finish. Wooden, light clayish retronasal. Lovely.

#28 Wunderbares malzaromatisches Lager mit Karamellnoten, dass schön lange nachbittert und herb ausklingt. Grandiose Süffigkeit, erst recht, wenn vom Fass getrunken. Sophisticated stuff!

Thanks to kubrick215 for bringing this back from the Czech Republic and sharing with me. Pours a hazy, bright golden yellowish-orange color with golden straw edges and a 1.5 finger frothy white head. Good retention, slowly fading into a lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind. Floral, perfume like aroma with earthy, grassy hops, straw, hay, light fruit and pale biscuit malt. Medium bodied with a delicate crisp hop bite that provides some dry bitterness that lingers over the sweet notes and pale malt into a subtly dry finish. Really nice hop flavor with a subtle dry, earthy character that doesn’t overpower the rest of the beer. This is countered by hints of straw, hay, apple, pear, pilsner malt, bread and biscuit. Really well balanced and very refreshing. Nice beer!

31.03.2013. Bottle. Pours clear golden with white, persistent head. Aroma of malt with nice honey note and grassy, herbal hops. Low, pleasant diacetyl in the background. Malty with nice bitterness in the finish, which is quite long, yet refreshing. Medium carbo. Enjoyed it. Good, refreshing pilsner.

i´m still amazed by the stylistic differences between moravian and bohemian beers. policka might be just on the bohemian side but is very moravian. there´s more of a malt emphasis that becomes quite sweet and watermelon. the aroma of wild berries is quite fresh

bottle, bought at Hrom do Police in Praha-Vinohrady. Pale yellow colour, creamy head. Similar to the 11° lager named Otakar, this also has a malty start and gets more and more hoppy and dry towards the finish. Lovely bitter-sweet Czech lager.

Test vom 30.10.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,11,11,12,9,11 - 11,25
