A nice looking beer with a distinctive after taste. Reminds of a light red/amber ale.

Nothing special at all about this beer. I am pretty sure it was just called as it is. Forgettable.

Brewed under the name "Bret Farve’s Voo Doo Brew" this was served a light red/amber tapper with a moderate head and lacing. Aroma was slightly sweet malts with a fruity/piney hop background. Taste was malty and smooth upfront with a light to moderate fruity/piney hop finish. Palate was decent. Overall, not a bad brew. Interestingly enough the bar tender @ Bret Farve’s Steakhouse told me the brew was essentially a mix of Liene’s Red and Original. It tasted like it too.

Draft at Montgomery Inn as Ted’s Pail Ale. Pour brownish amber. Very thin head. Nose sweet malt, faint citrus hop. Macro sweet malt up front. Slight mineral mid palate. Sharp bitter finish.

On tap at Montgomery Inn in Cincinnati, under the name "Ted’s Pail Ale". This glass looks smaller than a pint, and a lot of space where the head faded, probably only about 12-13oz. Clear orange color. Poured with an inch tall white head, that quickly fades to a thin bit. Only a couple, loose bits of lace, most doesn’t stick. Lighter to medium body, softer carbonation, little bit of a rough texture. Lightly dry in the finish. Some light orange citrus to it, but a big lagery breadiness, definitely a macro leinenkugel feel to this. My mom took a sip, summed it up pretty nicely: "too mild", she said, and handed it back. Some light toastiness, light bitter taste, light sweet. Mild bite. Light caramel malts. OK, kind of macro-y light pale ale. No obvious flaws, just not what I prefer. It seems to taste this way intentionally. Not too difficult to wash food down with, that’s a plus.

12oz sample bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear amber with a finger of off white head. Aroma of light herbal hops and some light citrus. Taste is light nitter. Herbal and slight citrus with a strong caramel backbone. Medium bodied with a thicker than expected texture. Lively carbonation and a surprisingly long finish. Overall, pretty good. Probably the best beer made by leinie outside the big eddy series.

Small aroma with an attractive amber pour, mild taste with a lingering mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft: ***Had as the house beer "Cheeseburger In Paradise Island Ale"*** Clear, sparkling amber with a short, off-white head... Scent is caramel, fruity. Taste is more of the same.....tropical, but not contrived... Crisp, light, tasty...... Not bad at all....pairs well with the menu...good choice, Jimmy!
