2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 4/20
*Bottle from a Eastern-European supermarket in Wuppertal. Grainy smooth nose. The beer starts fresh and quite full bodied. Hints of sourness in the background, easy to drink with a grainy body with dusty hints. Malty smooth with not too much bitterness, a bit bitter-harsh in the end. Not too bad.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Most notable for the truly unexpected name/label (who would have thought, a Baltic-and not just Baltic but Latvian--city held up as an example of good beer anywhere south of say Jelgava?), it’s got a bit of an off-hop aroma and a slightly yeasty, slightly funky, slightly hoppy finish; in other words, perfectly undistinguishable beer qua beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Beer straw color with a surprisingly abundant and persistent foam. The featureless flavor: weak malty tones and light floral and herbaceous notes.
Body moderately dense, in a rather bland taste: presnovato malty tones and light notes of water. Lightly oiled taste, which quickly replaced the fading malt component comes expressive acidity and mild, slightly harsh hop bitterness.
Aftertaste with pronounced acidity and rough hop bitterness.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Hazy yellow with a quickly-dissipating big white head. Aroma of grains, bread, hay, yeast (a bit vegetal), citrus and grass. Flavor has mild sweetness, some graininess, bread, yeast, a faint sourish hint, citric and grassy touches and a bitterish finish. Quite light-bodied. Certainly has more character (and less sweetness) than most industrial ex-USSR pale lagers. Quite easy-drinking.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
500ml bottle provided by Gaute. Clear straw coloured body. Two-finger sized head, short-lived. Fragile lacing. Poor on aroma, hints of sweet pale malts. Flavour is candy sweet on a backbone of grain. Mid-dry, sweet ending. Lightly oiled palate. Soft carbonated. Has got some body and is quite possible to drink, but overall it’s an anonymous beer (Tromsø, 11.10.2013).

As for me , this beer similar to Poltavpivo Bochkove. Maybe little better. Golden color , grainy taste and aroma. Drinkable.
