Bottle @ [ Tasting by fiulijn ].

Clear medium golden yelloe amber colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy honey, sweet honey, alcohol, wine notes. Flavour is heavy sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, honey sweet, medium flavor is light tart but initial and finish flavor is just sweet, wood - grape notes, finish is almost marple syrup. Body is medium to full, texture is syrupy, carbonation is flat. [20110926]

Huge honey, sweet aroma, perhaps some herbs. Taste quite sweet, more sugar than honey. Hazy yellow/orange body.

750ml bottle (?, Warsaw)
Hazy honey colour, still. Sweet honey aroma, alcohol, some glue, some rubber, light herbs, apple. Sticky palate. Very sweet taste, quite a floral honey, some sour green apple juice. Quite pleasant, but just too sticky compared to other mjods. Finish is a touch mushroomy, but very sugary too. Pleasant, but doesn’t have the crispness that Apis poltorak has, for example. Side by side with a TIM trojniak, this failed to shine.

It pours a hazy hamber color. Sweet aroma, alcoholic, with honey and apple juice, Calvados; liquor-like. Very sweet flavor, syrupy, with a mix of honey and apricot marmalade. Even sweeter and marmalade-like to the end; the alcohol is beautifully hidden. Not complex, but powerful, balanced and extremely enjoyable (if you have a sweet tooth).

Nice dark honey color with some reddish haze. Aroma is a wonderful sweet bouquet of wildflower honey, burnt sugar, and some mild alcohol. Flavor has some wildflower and sage honey that is very sweet mixed with some gentle berry and heavy sugar. Nice feel - Very, very good but this one doesn’t quite match the complexity of their Koronny Dwojniak nor Apis’ Poltorak. Heavy & sweet are prerequisites with a good Poltorak, but this one needs more complexity to be truly great. Still, its hard to be picky when a mead is this good.
