3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 KoNrRiI (229) - Århus, DENMARK - JUL 26, 2012
0.5 bottle. The aroma is verydelicate half malty half hop, composed mostly of dark honey, vanilla , some wood scents and grass, very pleasant. Surprisingly good-looking beer, the bottle is climatic together with a label hanging on a string it creates an impression as if it was taken straight from a musty old cellar. It is pale yellow in color, transulcent and of cloudy consistency with an average white head of quite good retention. Taste is soft-sweet with some delicate sour notes, pretty pleasant but nothing exceptional. Somewhere between medium and full-bodied, texture is definitely creamy and carbonation soft. Finish is short-lived, somewhat sweet and has a definite honeydrop inside. Overall to my amazement the beer is very enjoyable, it is a must-have!
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ElDesmadre (944) - Mikołów, POLAND - MAY 24, 2012
Lovely packaged bottle with a nostalgic label. This beer looks on the inside just as good as on the outside. Hazy light golden with a huge, very durable head. One of the single best looking Polish beers I have ever seen. In fact, with a light unfiltered lager you can’t go any better, I believe. Pleasant, soft malty aroma with a honey note and some subtle grassy hops. And a light hint of vanilla. Malty sweetish taste, light bitterness, even slightly salty (nowhere in the vicinity of a gose though) which seems to be the effect of using highly mineralised water for brewing. Not too high on flavour but I believe it came out just the way it was intended to - soft, relaxed and nostalgic. With an original mineral-salty note. Very pleasant, with this beer you get the whole package.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tomashanzon (15) - SWEDEN - MAR 30, 2012
Very nice, exclusive looking lager. Subtle aroma, but there is nothing subtle about the big head. One of the best I have seen! Comes with some nice information hanging from a thread on the bottles neck.
