This poured a very cloudy gold color with a three-fingered, well sustained white head. The light aroma is sweet and grassy, pleasant, but with little other character. Creamy in the mouth, then spritzy, it delivers a sweet grainy flavor with an herbal, bitter hop taste. The ’hint of German "Hefe" flavor’ mentioned in the commercial description comes in the faint banana flavored finish.

13 June, 02 - A decent american wheat. High white head with a slightly cloudy straw color. Slight cara-pils and hop aroma. Light wheat sweetness. Rather refreshing. 6/3/7/3/14. 2 Dec., 04 Now under Pony Express Original Wheat. Cloudy straw with a diminished white head. Sourdough wheat bread aroma. Biting feel. Mild lemon and malt vinegar flavors. Mild cobweb yeast. Slightly date bottle (08/04) but still it does not seem like time has done this one wrong.

Lightly hazy color with some sticky white head & some lacing. The aroma has some musty sweet wheat & some hop presence. The flavor has some hop notes and some spice but finishes watery, musky and tangy, fairly average american wheat. Thanks Falconseye!

Formerly Kansas City Unfiltered Wheat. I am posting my old review as this is the beer, but someone decided to post a new listing. Now called Original Wheat beer with a new label and company. I also had this before under the old company. This is a slightly cloudy gold color with a large white head. Aroma is lemons and some grass. A hint of banana under those scents. The taste is a slightly skunky dirt and leaves. Hints of honey. Not bad for an American Wheat.

12oz bottle. Orange gold color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is mild, citrusy and grassy. A light to medium bodied American Wheat. Malts are fruity and grassy. Touch of banana and clove with grows more prevalent at the finish. Light and refreshing. Crisp and clean. Nice wheat beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a touch of banana.

An above-average American Wheat, a style I generally don't like much because Americans take out all the good yeastiness of a German Wheat and generally add a bitter, metallic flavor. But this beer largely avoided that fate. Cloudy and lightly sedimented, this is a yeasty concoction with a hint of metallic flavor.

Aroma is like a piece of chewed bubblegum laying out on the sidewalk that has been stepped on a few times. Kind of dirty tasting, with some moldy fruit notes and toasted wheat cereal maltiness.
