Draught @ 12 balcken, Texel. Clear gold, creamy white head. Aroma is floral, fruity hops. Some belgian yeast and belgian hops. A bit of unfermented sugars in the flavor, quite spicy too. Too sweet.

Draft, Max’s Belgianfest. Clear apple juice body with minimal white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, light bread, orange. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit/earthy, some bread. Light-medium body, light acidity.

On draft at Max’s 9th Annual Belgian Fest. Pours a hazy, straw yellow. Nose is sugary, estery, clove, lemon tea, honey. Flavor is very sweet, sugary, malt, apples, pear. Full, sweet finish. No bitterness.

Tap at Max’s Taphouse. Pours clear gold with a medium, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is earthy and spicy hops, cereal and biscuit malt with apple esters. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and bitterness, fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

From tap at Brugs Bierfestival 2013. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Crisp grassy hops aroma. Soft almost creamy mouthfeel. Slight sweet caramel flavoured. Slight yeasty. Minor grain flavour note too. Soft, slight sweet bitter finish.

On tap at the Common Table. Reviewed from notes. The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma has a lot of sweet candy and sugar notes to it, with some biscuit malt thrown in. The flavor is unfortunately more of the same. I get a lot of perfume-like notes, presumably from the hops. There is also some toffee and biscuit malt. This one just doesn’t work.

Golden clean, small soapy white head. Spices, citric, herbal. Aroma doesn’t attract me. Unwieldy taste, bitter but not refined. Very disappointing as I like the style. Also, the original Hommel is much nicer. . (At Colin’s De Molen tasting)

Bottle @ 2nd tuesday tasting. Aroma is spicy herbal hops, some sweet spicy yeasty notes. Flavour is quite herbal hops, a bit grassy. Okay.
