2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
750ml bottle, Cloudy with a big foamy head. This is exactly how I thought it would be, with an underwhelming hop character. As far as belgium goes, I suppose it is hoppy. But you might as well create a new category in order to keep belgian and american hop characteristics separate. It’s good, I finished it and it’s only $8.00, so I will probably have another, it’s just not hoppy.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange blurred color has a good training bubbly foam maintenance mild stroke that lasts for almost the entire tasting.
The aroma is sourish, slightly hoppy revealing good herbal hops, the flower type, with some grass. The fermented malt and citrus fruits appear.
The taste is slightly bitter shows, but a delicious sweetness appears gulp. A certain banana and wheat malt are revealed, but dry finish and long form.
Good carbonation, medium-dry finish body. The aftertaste brings some bitterness that resembles a Weiss, but much drier. Alcohol is hardly noticed.
A gorgeous Belgian beer!

Tap at Kalahana. Oh, it’s been a while! Nice, yeasty, fruity hoppy, grain, bit of sweetness. Lots of belgian. Had many times and now it’s rated inexpertly.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Helder donker geel bier met schuim. Smaak is licht biter en licht zoet met sporen van graan en ananas. Niet echt bijzonder maar goed te drinken, smaak blijft redelijk lang hangen..

*Old rating, best before 04.12. Süßlich-mildes Bier. Leicht floral, süßlicher Körper, mild-weich, nicht zu tief, leicht herb mit typisch belgischer Hefe, weich-süßlich, leicht fruchtig.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Tasted 17/3/15 at Ieper, Belgium. Poured a cloudy amber with a one-finger white foamy head that retained OK but laced poorly. Carbonation moderate to high and fine. Aroma strongly of yeast. Taste of sweetish caramel and strongly of overpowering yeast. Light to medium body. Finish semi-sweet then with lingering strong yeast. Not my style.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
75cl bottle. Pours a creamy, quite dense and white medium to large size head, sits on long lasting half finger; nice hazy golden colour with minuscule particles going all around. Smells fruity, belgian yeast, lemon, floral, hay. Tastes citrus, honey, spicy, fruity, herbs, cheese, with again typical yeasty notes; quite a low sweetness, medium hoppiness but at the same time delicate, never too invasive bitterness. Average and pleasant carbonation, medium body. Very drinkable, this is a nice and balanced typical Belgian golden ale

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Colour is orangle, slightly opaque. Medium head, good retention - nice. Aroma is hoppy, kind of flowery, some grass. Taste is mildly bitter with a nice sweetness in the middle and with a dryish end, some bitterness stays in aftertaste. Seems to be very good session beer. More bitter than other belgian beers. I could drink that one every day.
