Ölen som du håller i din hand är en American Pale Ale, en vidareutveckling av sin engelska namne. När den skapades i USA använde bryggarna den lokalt odlade humlen vilket gav toner av citrus. I sedvanlig amerikansk anda använde man dessutom rikliga mängder humle.

"Jag brinner för att göra öl med tydlig humlekaraktär. Här har jag arbetat med humlesorterna Cascade och Citra som ger en fräsch citruston."

Bottle. Pours a clear orange-amber body with a medium creamy white head. Aroma is red berries, orange peel peaches, mild grapefruit and hints of pineapple and pale malts. Taste is red berries, grass, peaches, mild rose water tones and hints of pine and bready malts. Medium body and carbonation. Nice and fruity APA for sure from this Swedish brewery, which has been previously off my radar.

Bärnstensfärgad med fluffigt vitt skum. Citrus, persika och tallbarr i doften och lättare karamelltoner. Karamellen är mer framträdande i smaken, men även här spelar citrus och persika viktiga roller.

330ml bottle from Systembolaget Passagen

Nice medicin bottle and lot of information about beer. Good fresh citrus aroma. Clear golden orange colour with a white head. Quite bland taste, very easy drinkability and short palate. This is OK picnic beer but easily forgotten.

Slightly hazy, medium amber body with a pretty large, creamy, long-lived, light tan head that leaves lots and lots of lacings. Very strong aroma that is sweet and heavy hoppy. I get lovely notes of tropical fruits: mainly peach and mango. A tydlig humlekaraktär indeed. Gentle, well balanced, quite strong and refreshing citric tropical flavour with a nice caramel background. Light sweet taste with a long-lasting moderate to light bitter finish. Mid to light bodied, dry texture and moderate carbonation. I’m a bit surprised that this one doesn’t have a higher Ratebeer score, to me this is exactly how an APA should be! Dark amber with a finger of semi-dense head, cloudy. Very hop-forward aroma, flowery and fragrant, lemon zest and pine forest. Some maltiness behind. Fresh apricots flavours with a balanced sweetness and moderate bitterness. Some butterscotch, medium bodied and decent finish. Really top notch example in this style.

Nice hoppy aroma and nice golden colour with bubbly white head. The taste is good hoppy but not to much. Really soft and easy to drink. A good one overall!

Bottle: Clear red collour, nice white head. Aroma is dominated of sweet maltynes, bread, caramelly, and fruits, and some flowery. Flavor had a sweet, malty, caramelly, citrus mouth feeling, nice dry medium bitternes, and a thin to medium body! Werry nice !!
