Originally only a single batch was made named "Poppels Projekt 001 Dubbel IPA".
By popular demand and winning "Best Swedish Beer 2013" by members vote at BeerSweden was decided to continue in production, though with the same recipe as the project beer.

New batch was released March 1, 2014, at Systembolaget under the (website) name "Poppels Dubbel IPA (nr 88888)".

330ml bottle shared by djoeye. Bubbly pearl white head, hazy dark golden body. Fair lacing. Fresh and dried fruity nose. Mixed taste of dried and tropical fruits followed by a lingering finish of resinous bitterness. Well bodied. Nice and tasty (drinking session at Finns with djoeye and Finn, Tromsø 19.05.2016).

Nice Ipa, while not doing a whole lot. A good balance of malt and Hop flavours, one of my favourite Swedish ipas.

Flaske 330ml spandert av djoeye. Delt med ham og Rune på Nerstranda 19 Mai 16. Aprikosfarget. Middels høyt skum som daler sakte. Heftig fruktaroma. Fersken & plommer. Behagelig variert & balansert fruktsmak. Utmerket DIPA.

Look; off white head, unclear golden body. Aroma; superbowl of peaches, apricots too, really rich fruity hops in here. Taste; nice soft hops, very fruity and inoffensive DIPA, lots of peaches n apricots, plums a lot, and of course a fruity finish. Feel; good! Overall; surprisingly easy to enjoy. Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Clear, amber body, with a quite big, white head. Citrus, pineapple, tropical fruit, grapefruit and quite a bit of alcohol nose. Bitter, some sweetness. Citrus, orange and grapefruit flavour. Some peach, pineapple and tropical fruit. Also some malt, caramel, hay and pine. Hint of herbs as well. Medium to thick body. Oily. Soft carbonation. Slightly dry ending. A very good beer!
